As I dusted the grand library, I caught glimpses of his life. Framed photos showed a devastatingly handsome man, but the rare times I heard his voice echoing down the halls, he was snapping at his executives or demanding absolute silence. Feeling incredibly out of place—a 28-year-old woman with a messy bun and colorful tattoos covering my arm—I thought the house could use a little warmth.
